Located within the beautiful Villa Borghese park, the well-structured Bioparco di Roma zoo gives an opportunity to see around 220 species from different continents and have a family picnic on the same afternoon.
Together with your toddler, you can discover Sumatra Tiger, orangutans, the smallest monkeys in the world, a giraffe house, and much more before visiting the picnic area at the oasis on the lake.
The kids enjoy this place because it is a quieter area where they can run from animal to animal and play in the activity zones.
There is a little train ride for €2 available that goes around the whole site.
If you haven’t brought a picnic, there are coffee shops, restaurants, and kiosks to buy snacks from.
