Located within Ray Bastin Reserve, this Rocket Playground is a funky play space that invites all future rocket scientists to start their journey to Mars now.
The playground features a large rocket on a launching pad with tunnel slides and a control panel where toddlers can pretend to be in charge of launching their rocket. There are also tunnels, ladders, panels, abacus, tic-tac-toe, spinners, a large sandpit, and swings including a Liberty swing.
The playground is next to a skate park and has a sensory trail which highlights different eco-systems. At the park, you will find BBQs, toilets, and plenty of shaded tables and seats under trees. Better to avoid the playground on hot days because of the black panel reflecting the heat.
