Akershus Fortress (Akershus Festning)

Visit the Akershus Fortress (Akershus Festning) and Castle, built in the 14th century, and learn about the history of Oslo.

The medieval castle has gone through attacks, renaissance renovations and modernization as a royal residence, thus there is a lot of history hidden among those walls.

Guided tours are available in summer, as well as events, concerts and ceremonies are held at the venue.
